One characteristic of culturally mature understanding is that its conclusions systemically “bridge” the polar assumptions of Modern Age belief. It is able to draw a circle around traditional conceptual either/ors: ally and enemy, mind and body, matter and energy, subjective and objective, masculine and femine, science and religion. Making sense of just how this is so provides both a good entryway into culturally mature understanding and simple way to distinguish views that succeed at being culturally mature from those that do not.
